Vinod Kumar Dhawan

Mr. Vinod K Dhawan, has over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical product development, plant operations, analytical, quality and compliances, production, and broad spectrum drug development, and has extensive industrial experience in the pharmaceutical industry. A first generation entrepreneur and highly respected industry veteran, Mr. Dhawan has won numerous awards—both on his and his companies’ names—and recognitions.

Mr. Vinod Dhawan is the President & CEO of Dr. Edwin Medilabs Pvt. Ltd. (Punjab’s Largest Privately Held Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant). He led the company’s global expansion and currently, Mr. Dhawan is also the Chairman of Edwin Healthcare & Ayurveda – a nutraceutical & ayurvedic manufacturing plant, and Allien Pharmaceuticals—a leading pharmaceutical company serving in East, Central, and North East.

Mr. Dhawan holds a Bachelors in Science from the University.

Vir Bhasin

Vir, our young executive, has previously managed businesses with ~$15million annual turnover. A meticulous leader in profession, Vir aims to expand Darwin’s compliances to EUGMP, ANVISA, GCC, and MHRA. He has previously scaled the organizations in their zero-to-one journey, as well as one-to-hundred expansions.

Having received various awards and media mentions throughout his life—both in extracurricular & academics—Vir was trusted by Aditya Birla Group to lead their 4G Karnataka State Entry Strategy in 2015. With MakeMyTrip India Ltd., Vir oversaw the business division with annual turnover of INR 37.8 million to manage. He had also worked in the financial services sector with Airpay Payments Services, and in hospitality with OYO Hotels & Homes. In his last role, he was the Punjab State Head for OYO’s Business.

In his non-profit pursuits, Vir has alliances with PFA (People for Animals), Teach for India, Give India and more. Vir holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications, Statistics & Mathematics from Panjab University, Chandigarh And MBA from SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore.

Baljit Singh

Baljit has more than 10 years of experience in various industries in roles spanning R&D, project and proposal management, pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, supply chain management, and commercial processes. Upon joining Darwin’s corporate team in mid-2020, Baljit was responsible for optimizing Darwin's global processes and systems across customer service, project management and commercial functions.

Prior to joining Darwin, Baljit worked in both internal and external facing roles of increasing responsibility at such companies as ICICI Bank, Weddingz.in. Throughout his career, Baljit’s focus has been on vendor management, team management, process improvement and goal alignment. His ability to engage employees, as well as leverage his organizational and communications skills has enabled him to be successful in achieving business goals in a wide variety of settings.

Baljit holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, from Panjab University, as well as a Master of Business Administration with a special focus on Global Management and Operations Management from Panjab University .

Swapnil A. Wankhede

Swapnil has over 8 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical services as well as other leading export/outsourcing industries focused on business development management positions.

Since joining Dr. Darwin Lab’s Corporate Commercial Team in early 2021 Swapnil has been instrumental in building and managing the LATAM business development team. In this position, he has successfully identified and won new business opportunities for our global facilities.

Swapnil holds a Bachelors in Engineering from Nagpur University and an MBA from ICFAI University.

Karan Singh Dadwal

Karan is a proven leader with over 8 years of global leadership and technology experience. He has a successful record of developing and leading global organizations, achieving strategic objectives, developing talent and delivering tangible business results across the technology, hospitality and pharmaceuticals industries. Karan has the demonstrated ability to help IT departments become value drivers for their organizations. Karan is also skilled in Financial analysis, Financial Modelling, Data Science, and ERP/CRM Implementation and migration.

Karan is both a proven turnaround architect and a growth-oriented leader who can develop entire IT organizations. Recently, he led the development of IT strategies for multiple supply chains of TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services), Tripadvisor, Inc. This included global ERP, supply chain, commercial, business and regulated environments coupled with a vendor partnership operating model. In his last assignment, Karan led OYO’s Self Operated Business in Punjab State as WSOB Head.

Karan holds a Bachelor of Commerce, and PGDMM from Panjab University, India. as well as Masters in Business Administration from Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore.

Manohar Sundriyal

With a singular focus to stay compliant under latest cGMP & EU-GMP norms, Manohar has been instrumental to the success of Darwin’s Unit-III site in Mohali, Punjab; where he joined after having acquired more than 30 years of injectables & parenterals pharmaceutical industry experience through leadership roles of increasing responsibility in process engineering, production and planning management, project management, engineering, and validation.

Manohar has extensive experience leading complex teams in pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies. In his previous role as Production Manager in Martin & Harris Laboratories Ltd. he oversaw Martin’s technical services and engineering departments, including the Roorke site’s facilities. In addition to this , for the past 30+ years, Manohar had also worked with Alzan Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Harisons Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Brooks Pharmaceuticals, Venus Remedies Ltd., NLP Organics, & Tribhawan Injectables.

Manohar holds a Bachelor of Science from the Kumaon University, Kashipur.

Rishi Choubey

Rishi, an FDA approved analyst has more than 21 years of experience in pharmaceutical plant management and operations, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Prior to becoming Head of Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs, Rishi served as Sr. Manager of Quality for Nuclotec Remedies Pvt. Ltd. and Senior Officer at Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. at Paantasahib Site. During that time, he successfully oversaw and implemented the site’s business continuity plan and quality actions such as quality compliance of ANVISA, TGA & German Audit. Rishi had also held various roles in Symbiosis Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. and Dhanuka Laboratories Limited in Quality Control.

Rishi holds a Bachelor of Science from VBS Purvanchal University & Masters of Science in Organic Chemistry from SGRPG College and holds an FDA certification as an approved analyst from the Federal Drug Department.

Pradeep Mishra

Pradeep has over 16 years of experience in parenterals & injectables manufacturing industry. Having previously worked in Health Biotech, Venus Remedies, and Nootan Pharmaceuticals in various capacities—broadly in machine engineering—, Pradeep has extensive technical experience in plant machinery and core activities. Pradeep has been with Darwin since its inception and played an integral role in setting up divisional operations and engineering and maintenance.

Pradeep holds a Bachelor of Science from IEC University.

Shikha Kamboj

Shikha joined Darwin in 2017 as QA Officer, and in her past 4 years rose over ranks to become QA Leader with us. She is meticulous, detailed, analytical, fundamental, and very diligent in leading establishment of network governance meetings and team tiered process to monitor/detect/act on anomalies to key site quality KPIs and continuous improvement. She also handles and guides the team in ensuring Batch record review, handling deviations/capa, change control, complaints, customer management, critical issue, recall etc, and release (manufactured materials) is in full cGMP compliance to regulatory and Darwin Quality Standards

Shikha holds a Bachelor in Pharmacy from BDS University of Health Science, Rohtak.

Sajal Mondal

Sajal oversees Darwin’s own proprietary brands’ India expansion strategy and distribution network. With deep tie-ups with leading institutional partners like Fortis, Max, Apollo, Sajal has played an instrumental role in developing trust in the market by serving our clients with quality products. In this position, he has successfully identified and won new business opportunities for our Mohali facility.

Sajal has 14 years of experience in various roles such as Assistant Manufacturing Chemist in parenterals, Vendor Management Incharge, Propaganda-cum-distribution Manager for Walter® brands, and more. Prior to Darwin, Sajal held business development management positions with contract service providers, including Walter Healthcare, enabling to manage teams for the last 15 years.
